Step by Step Process

Intial Contact

Who Can Nominate: Anyone acquainted with an elder in need, including family members, friends, community workers, or healthcare providers, can start the nomination.

How to Nominate: Fill out our online nomination form available on our website, providing comprehensive details about the elder's circumstances.

Preliminary Review

Our dedicated team reviews the initial application to ensure all necessary details are present and that the nominee meets the basic criteria for assistance.

If more information is required, the nominator will be contacted.

Detailed Assessment

Financial Assessment: The nominee's financial situation will be evaluated, considering any current government assistance like Medicare or other grants.

Health & Care Needs: An assessment of the nominee’s health and daily care needs will be done.

Personal Story & Circumstances: We'll gather a comprehensive understanding of the nominee's life journey, emphasizing challenges faced, to make an empathetic decision.

Board Review & Selection

Panel Interview: Before the board meeting, selected nominees (or their representatives) will be invited for a panel interview. This is a friendly conversation where the board can gain deeper insight into the elder's needs and context.

The compiled profile of the nominee, along with feedback from the panel interview, is presented to the Foundation's board members.

The board, after thorough deliberation, votes on the nominations.

A unanimous or majority decision is required for the final selection.
